Timely Payment of Wages
Understanding the issue
Your employer must pay your salary on time — monthly salary by 7th of next month, weekly wages by end of week. Delayed payment is a legal violation.
Punishment
Fine up to Rs. 50,000 for delayed payment
Examples
- Employer has not paid salary for 3 months. Employee can file complaint with labour department.
