Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace
Understanding the issue
Any unwanted sexual behaviour at workplace — including comments, touching, messages, or jokes — is sexual harassment. Every company with 10+ employees must have an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
Punishment
Disciplinary action, termination, compensation as determined by ICC
Examples
- A colleague sends inappropriate messages to B at work. B can file a complaint with the company's ICC under POSH Act.
