Do this now
  1. 01Do NOT pay any money — paying never stops the blackmail, it only increases
  2. 02Take screenshots of ALL threatening messages and the blackmailer's profile
  3. 03Call 1930 (Cyber Crime Helpline) and file a complaint immediately
  4. 04File a detailed complaint at cybercrime.gov.in with all evidence
  5. 05Report the blackmailer's profile on the social media platform to get it blocked
  6. 06File an FIR at the nearest police station — this is a serious criminal offence
  7. 07If images were shared, you can get a court order to remove them from the internet
Do NOT do this
  • Do NOT pay any money — blackmailers never stop after one payment
  • Do NOT send more images or personal information
  • Do NOT delete your conversation with the blackmailer — it is evidence
  • Do NOT feel ashamed — you are the VICTIM, the blackmailer is the criminal
