किसी का सामान उसकी अनुमति के बिना और बेईमानी के इरादे से लेना चोरी है।

• A, B की जानकारी या अनुमति के बिना मेज़ से B का मोबाइल फ़ोन उठा लेता है। A चोरी करता है।

Whoever, intending to take dishonestly any moveable property out of the possession of any person without that person's consent, moves that property in order to such taking, is said to commit theft.
